Entryway Security Apple IOS App for the Walk Through Metal Detector

The Athena Entryway Security app for Threat Detection is the primary method for delivering alerts from your walk-through metal detector / weapons detection system app. You can opt-into push notifications in the app, and reference past alerts there. 


Downloading the app

  1. Log into your iPhone and navigate to the home screen
  2. Tap on the “App Store” icon to open the App Store
  3. Type “Entryway Security” into the search bar to download the alerts app
  4.  Select “Entryway Security” from the search results
  5. Download the app to your iPhone by pressing the download icon.






















When the app download is complete, the open icon will appearDownload time for the application depends on network performance


6. Press the open icon to open the application

7. Logging in & Setup

  1.  Enter the ID and password provided to you by your organization. (NOTE: user ID is not your email address)
  2. Tap “LOGIN”

  3. The first time that you log in to the app, it will prompt to allow notifications.  

    The primary function of this app is to provide timely alerts in real-time from your walk-through metal detector when an object is detected.  These alerts are sent via “Notifications”

    Press the “Allow” menu choice to enable the app to send alerts to your iPhone

8. Changing your password

  1. On the “Notifications” screen, tap on the “Settings” icon on the top left of the screen.
  2. On the settings page, tap the “Security” button
  3. You will see an option to Change Password

  4. Type current password      
  5. Type new password
  6. Re-type new password
  7. Press the "check" icon in the upper right corner to save changes


9. Profile Setup

  1. From the Notifications screen, tap the “Settings” icon at the top left of the screen
  2. From the Settings screen, tap on  the “My Profile” icon

  3. On the my profile screen, tap the “Edit” icon
  4. Type your first name, last name, and phone number into the appropriate fields
  5. Tap on the “Save” button on the top right

10. Configuring Alerts

  1. When an object is found with the walk-through metal detector
  2. An audible alert will sound when an object detected a notification is received
  3. Tap the notification and enter your phone’s passcode, if applicable, when prompted to see the alert.
  4. You may also see the alerts within the app and may pick your range of dates and time

11. Logging Out

  1. From the Notifications screen, tap the “Settings”    icon at the top left of the screen
  2. Tap the“My Profile” icon on the first line
  3. From the My Profile screen, tap the  “Log Out” button in the bottom left corner

All actions taken by operators using this application should be completed in accordance with your organization’s event response procedures and under the immediate direction of the established command structure.
