Placement of X-ray in relation to WDS - be mindful of Electromagnetic Field (EMF)
Any Weapons Detection System or other EMF-sensitive device should be placed at least two (2) feet away from the X-ray machine to avoid interference
When using the OpenGate Weapons Detection System, it is advised that the Main Pole be the closest to the X-ray machine and the Secondary Pole farthest away from the X-ray machine
Configuration of work area – iPad placement in relation to X-ray (suggestion only)
The Operator iPad may be used from anywhere the end-user wishes, particularly when in a wireless setup
Generally, placing the Operator iPad next to the person at the X-ray machine, opposite the entrance is desirable; this gives the security guard the ability to screen the items passing through the X-ray as well as quickly handle any bags that contain possible threat objects
