X-Ray FAQ : Accuracy, Comparison to Human Detection, and Model Training Process

Modified on Tue, Mar 11 at 7:21 PM

Can the AI detect all objects accurately?

It is designed to detect specific objects based on the parameters set in the model and may not always identify objects correctly, especially if they are obscured or distorted by other items. The AI model is not 100% foolproof but  AI improves detection speed and accuracy compared to human inspection.

How does AI compare to human detection?

AI significantly enhances detection capabilities by processing objects faster and more consistently than humans. While humans may miss items due to fatigue or oversight, AI can identify objects more efficiently. However, AI is not perfect but it generally outperforms manual inspections.

Can the AI model be trained to recognize additional objects?

Yes, the AI model can be trained to recognize additional objects. By scanning specific items and providing those images to the engineering team, the model can be updated to recognize new objects.

In the upcoming app release, this process will be streamlined. Users will simply need to click a button, and the image will automatically be added to the model.
